Veterinarian
Emily K. Grumich, DVM
I always loved having pets and taking care of animals. My sister
and I were always trying to help strays and we once held a funeral for a dead
mouse we found. I also enjoyed science and medicine, so the choice just seemed
right for me. I graduated from the University of Missouri in 2001. I received the
Gilbreath-Mclorn scholarship 1998-1999 and the Salisbury academic scholarship
in 2000. I enjoy my job and find veterinary medicine to be a rewarding career.
My husband’s name is Bill. He is in sales for a food service company. We met
when he stopped to help me with a flat tire in 2002. We were married September
10, 2005. We are now expecting our first baby in September 2006, and are very
excited about the new addition to our family.
Our current family consists of four pets. We have two dogs, Rhett and Butler.
(These names are from my all time favorite movie, Gone with the Wind.) Rhett is
a Yorkshire terrier mix and he loves to spend time in the back yard. Butler is a
Yorkshire terrier and he loves to chew his rawhides. We also have two cats,
Mercedes (“Sadie”) and Sabrina. Sadie always sits near me for attention and
purrs constantly. Sabrina loves to spend time looking out the windows.
My personal interests include reading, movies, and traveling. That is all about
me, I look forward to seeing you and your pets at the clinic.
